For many years, Sandee Ortega was the Victim Advocate for the District Attorney's Office.  She absolutely loved this annual event! Sandee was never shy about looking a little goofy (as seen above)! She would have been head of the line, encouraging men to STAND UP against domestic violence! Her passion for helping victims of domestic and family violence shown brightly in all she did. We lost a dear friend; however, her memory and passion lives on!

• Assist in designing services which are responsive to victims of family violence,
• Assist the healthcare system in developing and utilizing tools for effective identification of victims,
• Evaluate relevant statistics on family violence for case disposition,
• Provide family violence education for our community,
• Develop a community response system for family violence and,
• Assist in developing standardized protocols for law enforcement and their response to  violence.
