Camden Cares is the official website of the Camden County Family Violence Task Force.  We are a multi-agency
team whose goal is to support victims of family violence by providing assistance to the community through existing
agencies.

Our Goals:

  • Assist in designing services which are responsive to victims of family violence;

  • Assist the health care system in developing and utilizing tools for effective identification of victims of family
    violence;

  • Evaluate relevant statistics on family violence for case disposition;

  • Provide family violence education to the community;

  • Develop a community response system for family violence; and

  • Assist in developing standardized protocols for law enforcement and their response to family violence.

Caring Enough About Our Community To Keep Survivors
of Family Violence Safe and Batterers Accountable.


Our Purpose:

1.  Effectuate coordination between agencies, departments and the courts with victims and perpetrators of family
violence;

2.  Promote safety and justice for victims while holding perpetrators accountable;

3.  Improve the response to family violence so as to reduce incidents thereof.

domestic violence in our community!
The Red Ladies Are In Town!

As you are driving in our community, you may
notice these silhouettes in different locations.  
Each one will have a different story about a victim
of domestic, as well as promoting the upcoming
event, Walk a Mile in her Shoes.

The Walk a Mile event will be during the Mardi
Gras parade on February 18, 2012.  During the
parade, we are asking
MEN in leadership
positions in the county to walk the parade route in
high-heel shoes,
preferably red, to help promote
the awareness of the domestic violence epidemic.  
There is a $25 Walk a Mile fee and the proceeds will benefit Camden House and
the Family Violence Task Force in their mission to
educate the community,
empower victims & survivors and eradicate this epidemic of domestic & family
violence.  You may register online for the event at:
